RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE ILLINOIS COMMERCE COMMISSION
TO HOLD ALL PUBLIC HEARINGS INVOLVING McHENRY SHORES WATER
COMPANY AT THE McHENRY MUNICIPAL CENTER, McHENRY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, suit has been brought against the McHenry Shores Water Company for
non-compliance of EPA regulations; and,
WHEREAS, the McHenry Shores Water Company has been fined by the McHenry
county Circuit Court for non-compliance; and,
WHEREAS, the McHenry Shores Water Company is now attempting to increase its
rates charged to McHenry Shores Water Company users; and,
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry has a commitment to keep the residents of the
McHenry Shores Subdivision apprised of all legal proceedings relating to the McHenry
Shores Water Company; and,
WHEREAS, the City is dedicated to providing the best possible service to its residents;
and,
WHEREAS, the residents of the McHenry Shores Subdivision have expressed a desire
to have the McHenry Shores Water Company/I.C.C. hearings held at a more accessible
location;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and City Council of the City of
McHenry, Illinois that the City of McHenry requests and strongly urges the I.C.C. to consider
holding any and all McHenry Shores Water Company hearings at the McHenry Municipal
Center, 333 S. Green Street, McHenry, Illinois.
