RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, John Swierk was appointed to the City of McHenry Zoning Board of
Appeals on December 6, 1989 and has recently resigned therefrom; and
WHEREAS, he has served the Zoning Board of Appeals with purpose, dedication and
devotion and has acted in all matters before the Zoning Board of Appeals with the welfare of
the City uppermost in his mind; and
WHEREAS, his ability and civic interest has contributed greatly to the orderly progress
and development of the City; and
WHEREAS, his many contributions and accomplishments for the benefit of the
citizens of McHenry are hereby acknowledged with gratitude.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
McHenry officially recognizes John Swierk's accomplishments and expresses its appreciation
on behalf of all the citizens of the City of McHenry.
BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be incorporated into the minutes
of this meeting and that a copy of this Resolution be presented to John Swierk.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 5th day of March, 1997.
