RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Gregory P. Burg was hired as a Police Officer for the City
of McHenry on March 1, 1966 and
WHEREAS, he was promoted from Patrolman to the rank of Sergeant
on May 1, 1969; and
WHEREAS, he has served the City of McHenry in his capacity as a
Police Officer with Courage, Bravery, Dedication, and Integrity, and has
been commended on several occasions for his valiant efforts and acted in all
matters with the welfare of the City uppermost in his mind; and
WHEREAS, he can look back with pride on his contributions and
accomplishments while serving on the City of McHenry Police Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of McHenry go on record as recognizing the many contributions and
accomplishments of Gregory P. Burg and expresses its appreciation and
gratitude on behalf of the citizens of McHenry.
BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be incorporated into
the minutes of this meeting and that a copy be presented to Sergeant Gregory
P. Burg.
