HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - RS-98-17 - 07/29/1998 - Kate Riggert Baumann 100th BirthdayRS-98-17 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Kate Riggert Baumann, born in Tellman, Germany, the eldest of the four children of Christoff Riggert and Emma Richman Riggert, will celebrate the 100th anniversary of her birth on August 2, 1998; and WHEREAS, she has been a regular visitor to the McHenry Area since 1952, when her husband purchased five lots along the shores of the Fox River; and WHEREAS, she has been a full time resident since 1959, when she retired to the McHenry Area, joining the thriving City of McHenry population of 3,200; and WHEREAS, she contributed numerous hours as a nurse at McHenry Hospital at a time when the total hospital census was 16 beds; and WHEREAS, she has been a faithful, caring and compassionate member of the Zion Lutheran Church, and has given unselfishly as a member of the Golden K Club; and WHEREAS, the McHenry Community wishes to recognize and extend congratulations and best wishes to Kate Riggert Baumann upon the celebration of her 100th Birthday. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of McHenry go on record as expressing its appreciation and congratulations on behalf of the citizens of McHenry. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be incorporated into the minutes of this meeting and that a copy be presented to Kate Riggert Baumann. PASSED and APPROVED this 29th day of July, 1998.
