At roll call the following Aldermen were present: Bolger, Locke, Baird. Bates arrived at 8:15 P.M. Absent: Lawson. City Staff in attendance was: City Clerk Althoff. Mayor Cuda stated the purpose of this evening's meeting was to meet with McHenry Corporate Center representatives Kit Carstens and Scott Dixon to review the Corporate Center's past development and be apprised of its potential plans for the future. Mayor Cuda then turned the meeting over to Mr. Carstens. Carstens gave a brief historical review of the Corporate Parks development. Alderman Bates arrived at 8:15 P.M. Some discussion followed regarding plans for the construction of future Dayton Street and the Corporate Park's detention area. Carstens stated that plans for additional detention were still in place as per the concept plan. Carstens stated Dayton Street would be constructed if the continued development of the Corporate Park necessitated the road. He explained the expansion of existing businesses [Follett and Brake Parts] or the purchase, by one large user, of the remaining available acreage might change the need for this road's construction. As developers, Carstens stated their need to keep all options available for land usage. Council initiated dialogue regarding the subdivision process and considered how the process might be expedited. It was noted that additional Business Park property has recently been annexed into the city and any changes to the process must be applied consistently and equally to all properties. The status of Ridgeview Drive was reviewed noting the construction is scheduled to begin this Spring and be completed by late Fall of 1996. Miller Parkway is also slated to continue south across the Pacini property. Carstens then distributed copies of a graph depicting what 100 industrial jobs means to a community. He asked for continuing good relations and open communication with the Council. Carstens concluded his presentation by informing Council that the Corporate Center was actively pursuing potential additions to the Corporate Park and had two companies expressing strong interest. City Clerk Althoff was directed to seek subscriptions to the Business Journal for all the Aldermen and the Mayor. City Clerk Althoff informed Council that a meeting between Council and the car dealerships was set for Wednesday, February 7th at 6:45 PM in the Aldermen's Conference Room just prior to the regularly scheduled Council Meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 9:35 P.M. _ J j',. MAYOR CITY CLERK
