HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 09/10/2012 - City Council REGULAR MEETING September 10, 2012 Mayor Low called the regularly scheduled September 10, 2012 meeting of the McHenry City Council to order at 7:30 p.m. In attendance were the following Aldermen: Santi, Glab, Schaefer, Blake, Wimmer, and Peterson. Absent: Condon. Also in attendance were City Administrator Morefield, Assistant City Administrator Hobson, City Clerk Jones, Public Works Director Schmitt, Chief of Police Jones. PUBLIC INPUT SESSION There was no one who signed in to speak during the Ten Minutes of Public Input. CONSENT AGENDA Alderman Glab inquired about the statute regarding non-functioning equipment. Assistant City Administrator Hobson responded non-functioning equipment is taken to a vendor for disposal. Motion by Wimmer, seconded by Santi, to approve the Consent Agenda as presented: A. Regular Meeting Page 4 September 10,2012 MAYOR STATEMENT AND REPORT '1 Mayor Low stated the City is hosting a 9/11 Commemorative Ceremony on Tuesday, September 11 at 9:00 a.m. at Veteran's Memorial Park. The Country Meadows Craft Fair and Wine Tasting will take place this Sunday, September 16 at Veteran's Memorial Park. The Montini Music Festival featuring a concert with 7th Heaven is taking place this Saturday, September 15 at Petersen Park. COMMITTEE REPORTS Alderman Peterson stated there is an Open House for the Dog Park on Tuesday, September 11 at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall and a Parks and Recreation Committee meeting on Wednesday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. Alderman Wimmer stated there is a Finance and Personnel Committee meeting on Monday, September 17 at 3:00 p.m. STAFF REPORTS There were no Staff reports.
