SPECIAL USE APPLICATION AND WAIVER OF PARK RENTAL FEES FOR THE
USE OF WHISPERING OAKS PARK ON JULY 31, 2009 FOR ORTHODONTICS
PATIENT APPRECIATION NIGHT— CONLON AND THOMPSON
Assistant City Administrator Hobson stated a request was received from Conlon
and Thompson Orthodontics to use a portion of Whispering Oaks Parks for a Patient:
Appreciation Night on July 31, 2009. Assistant City Administrator Hobson noted the
event was held last year and approximately 200 people attended the event. The event
concluded by 11 p.m. The only difficulty encountered last year was the inadequacy of
the Fort McHenry restroom facilities in light of the number of persons attending the
event. It is therefore Staffs recommendation to support the event subject to the
applicant providing portable toilets for the event. Staff, however, does not support the
applicant's request to waive all associated park rental fees.
