List of Ten Most Endangered Houses/Buildings – East campus recommended 2. Petersen Farm engineering scope of work foundation for farmhouse, foundation / basement stabilization. As of 8/23/07 City of McHenry was waiting for Aspect Design Architect’s proposal for historic preservation records * 3. Silo restoration is underway Landmark Commisson is waiting for City Parks and Recreation copy of construction contract of work to be completed on silos for historic preservation records. * New Business Unresolved issues* 1. Three City of McHenry Landmark Information signs require upkeep – information needs to be changed and attached to the backboard . G. Rosenberg has agreed to look into permanent stainless steel or aluminum display signs of commercial grade construction / costs. Sept. Agenda Page 2 of 3 2. Movies were taken of the Petersen Farm recently for some type of a documentary production. Bill Hobson will be asked for an update on this issue. 3. Funding for architectural scope of work design work was approved months ago by the City Council. The Landmark Commission needs a copy of what the City Council approved for our historic preservation records. * 4. Street work is scheduled for route 120 and route 31 at the north dog leg to eliminate 90 degree corners. The Landmark Commission would like to review the street work proposed by the City and Idot. CDD response concerning Main Street and route 31 future work was there were no plans for demolition of buildings or street work. 5. CDD is contacting the city to find out what requirements are necessary to store Petersen farm artifacts, collectibles and some furniture off site in safe storage during construction and renovation. Waiting for City response. 6. Continue packing and moving of furniture once a schedule / program for construction / renovation is provided by the city - on hold 7. All positions on the Landmark Commission are filled. 8. City council and City personnel were invited to our open house Sept. 16 from 12:30 to 3:00 pm. Doug Martin provided literature, buttons and refreshments, alderman Santi, 1 city employee, 30 visitors and Bill Hobson visited the site. 9. Budget work needs to be done to prepare a budget prior to December. th 10. Partnersinpreservation continues through Oct 10. Keep on voting and spreading the word. 11. Several Landmark Commissioners attended the County Open House for Historical groups input on how to save historic sites, buildings, structures throughout the county in incorporated and unincorporated areas. The 2030 plan was also mentioned and leans toward develop as you acquire and more uncontrolled growth. Sept. Agenda Page 3 of 3
