RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, is a home rule municipality as
contemplated under Article VII, Section 6, of the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and the passage of
this Resolution constitutes an exercise of the City's home rule powers and functions as granted in the
Constitution of the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Open Meetings Act specifies that Executive Session minutes be
reviewed at least once every six months; and
WHEREAS, upon advice from Counsel, the McHenry City Council recommends approval of the
following Executive Session Minutes and;

04/02/18 5 ILCS 120/2/(c)(5) Purchase or Lease of Real Property for the use of the Public Body
04/11/18 5 ILCS 120/2/(c)(5 ) Purchase of Lease of Real Property for the use of the Public Body
04/11/18 5ILCS 120/2(c)(11) Potential Litigation
04/16/18 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) Potential Litigation
05/07/18 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(5) Purchase of Lease of Real Property for the use of the Public Body
06/04/18 5 ILCS 120/2/(c)(11) Potential Litigation
WHEREAS, upon advice from Counsel, the McHenry City Council recommends release of the
following Executive Session Minutes as the need for confidentiality no longer exists; and

04/02/18 5 ILCS 120/2/(c)(5) Purchase or Lease of Real Property for the use of the Public Body

04/16/18 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) Potential Litigation
05/07/18 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(5) Purchase of Lease of Real Property for the use of the Public Body

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as specified in the Illinois Open Meetings Act that
authorization is hereby granted to approve the destruction of Executive Session recordings that exists
more than 18 months and the minutes for that meeting have been approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall be made a permanent part of the
City Council minutes.
