A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE BOONE-DUTCH CREEK
WATERSHED -BASED PLAN
WHEREAS, the Boone -Dutch Creek Watershed -Based Plan was developed in a
collaborative manner with diverse stakeholder input; and
WHEREAS, stewardship of watershed resources including water quality is important to
the prosperity of residents and landowners of the City of McHenry and elsewhere in McHenry
County; and
WHEREAS, the Boone -Dutch Creek Plan offers reasoned guidance to urban and rural
landowners and decision -makers alike for conserving the land, soil, and water resources of the
Boone -Dutch Creek Watershed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of McHenry supports a
collective effort to implement the projects and policies recommended in the Boone -Dutch Creek
Watershed -based Plan.
