RESOLUTION
A Resolution approve the Local Match for PearULincoln Street
Improvements through the McHenry County Council of Mayors
Surface Transportation Program
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry ("City") is a member of the McHenry County Council
of Mayor's; and
WHEREAS, the McHenry County Council of Mayors has adopted policies for the
implementation of the Surface Transportation Program ("STP") Moving Ahead for Progress in
the 21 st Century (MAP-21) Act; and
WHEREAS, those policies require that to receive STP funding through the McHenry
County Council of Mayors, a project sponsor must submit an STP project application and a
Resolution stating the required local 20% match ($375,000) for the project will be available
through the life of the project.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and McHenry City Council of
the City of McHenry, Illinois that authorization is hereby granted to apply for STP funding for
Pearl Street Improvements project for Roadway, Bridge and Pedestrian Improvements; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Mchenry hereby agrees to allocate the required
20% local match ($375,000) for the Pearl Street Roadway, Bridge, and Pedestrian Improvements
project so long as the project is programmed in the McHenry County Council of Mayor's Five -
Year Program or its Multi -Year B-List of projects.
