RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the McHenry City Council is charged with the responsibility of protecting
and promoting the interests of the citizenry of the McHenry Community, including is health,
safety and general welfare; and
WHEREAS, the Honorable Senator Dick Klemm had access to significant State funds
through his member initiative; and
WHEREAS, numerous City of McHenry Capital Development Projects were identified
and selected for consideration by Senator Dick Klemm; and
WHEREAS, monies were recently granted to the City of McHenry as a result of the
support and efforts of Senator Klemm and his member initiative; and
WHEREAS, the Honorable Senator Klemm was successful in obtaining significant
monies for street lighting on the Charles I Miller Highway, formerly known as Bull Valley
Arterial Road, in the amount of $10,000; and
WHEREAS, Senator Klemm has encouraged efforts of various government agencies and
fostered good will and intergovernmental communication among area entities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the McHenry City Council goes on
record as recognizing and commending the persistence and efforts of the Honorable Senator
Dick Klemm and his support in securing funding for the City of McHenry.
