RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the McHenry City Council is charged with the responsibility of protecting
and promoting the interests of the citizenry of the McHenry Community, including is health,
safety and general welfare; and
WHEREAS, the Honorable Representative Jack Franks had access to significant State
funds through his member initiative; and
WHEREAS, numerot City of McHenry Capital Development Projects were identified
and selected for consideration by Representative Jack Franks; and
WHEREAS, monies were recently granted to the City of McHenry as a result of the
support and efforts of Representative Franks and his member initiative; and
WHEREAS, the Honorable District 63 Representative Jack Franks was successful in
obtaining significant monies for various municipal projects in the City of McHenry in the
amounts as follows:
■ $500,000 Central Waste Water Treatment Plant Expansion
■ $ 10,000 Street lighting on the Bull Valley Arterial Road
■ $ 10,000 Miscelll-neous equipment for the McHenry Police Department
■ $ 40,000 Computers for the McHenry Police Department
■ $ 2,500 D.A.R.E. of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, Representative Franks has encouraged efforts of various government
agencies and fostered good will and intergovernmental communication among area entities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the McHenry City Council goes on
record as recognizing and commending the persistence and efforts of the Honorable
Representative Jack Franks and his support in securing funding for the City of McHenry.
